Here I be at 65, captured by my work boo, @andreascher by the gorge in Taos, this past week. I’d asked Andrea to take a picture of me that looked like me, not spruced up, not faking it, but just me, relaxed into myself. That’s how I feel more and more. Much of my life has been one of great capacity, vision, energy and effort. But here, at 65, there is a settling into myself that makes it impossible to over-do anything. My mom, Suzy - who is 88 - has been saying for years that she feels like she’s been coming home to herself, and my sibs and I always roll our eyes, like yeah yeah yeah - maybe because she says it ALL the time - but damn if that’s not exactly what I feel today. I’m grateful for age and time and all the lessons that have been mine. Not all easy - some extremely painful - but important to me and who I have become over all these years. I’ve also been incredibly lucky. Grateful for family and friends and all the incredible people I have gotten to work with. What a wonderful life this has been. ❤️
