Often, for all our preparation, skill, and fortitude, we encounter situations in which normal ways of thinking don’t work and we’re forced into deeper ways of knowing, where the problems that plague us and the solutions we hope for unravel. Often, when certain that our problems can’t be solved, we’re being asked to shift our perspective, to reimagine the very ground of how we understand the world. And the most reliable resource we have lives within us: our heart. For the journey of authenticity and true expression is how life restores us by entering us through the eye of the heart.
These thresholds of learning open us more fully than we would ever open willingly. And to stay devoted to the authentic experience of seeing anew, especially in difficult times, offers us the chance to heal in the now. For the gift in seeing anew is that we’re returned to the ever-present threshold of living with nothing in the way.
In this workshop Mark will share poetry and talk about how writing helps him shift perspective so he can be more available to the world. We’ll open up a discussion, we’ll do some writing and reflecting and there will be time to connect directly with Mark.
